Signs of Periodontal Disease

  • red, swollen, or tender gums

  • bleeding while brushing or flossing

  • receding gumline

  • pus that comes out between your gums and teeth

  • loose teeth

  • continuous bad breath

  • change in tooth alignment or your bite (this includes the fit of partial dentures)

  • sores in your mouth

If you experience any of these signs of gum disease, it’s important to schedule an appointment to evaluate the health of your teeth and gums. Leaving such signs untreated can result in loss of teeth and poorer overall health.
