Dental X-Rays
Gone are the days of film x-rays. When you make an appointment at our office to have x-rays done on your mouth, it’ll be done with state-of-the-art technology - digital radiography. That doesn’t mean the process has changed.
Before x-rays can be shot, a leaded apron will be draped over you to protect you from radiation exposure. Then, rather than x-ray film, a square sensor - much like that of a standard bitewing x-ray - will be inserted in your mouth to capture the photos. Immediately afterwards, the x-ray will pop up on a computer screen in your room so you and your dentist can look at it together.
